We’ve all been in a situation where someone is asking for our number and we are hella uncomfortable and just want to run away, but feel like we can’t without giving them a number.
Well, there’s a hotline that might help you fend off those creepy peeps that you might want to know about.
It’s called the Mary Sue Rejection Hotline.
So, next time someone is hassling you for your number, give them this instead - (646) 926-6614.
Yes, it’s a US number, so try giving them the digits with the +1 dialling code in front, and hopefully they’re a little slow on the catch up.
When they try to dial the number they’ll be met with a message saying:
“Oh hello there. If you’re hearing this message, you’ve made a woman feel unsafe and/or disrespected. Please learn to take no for an answer and respect women’s emotional and physical autonomy. K THANKS.”
If they try to text it, they’ll get the same thing over text message an hour later - so you’ll have some time to get away from them!
Hands up if you’re in need of this?
