Vandals have graffitied a Harry Potter symbol over a prehistory tomb in the Philippines.
According to Spanish news publication El Pais, a 4,000-year old dolmen in Casa dos Mourus in Vigo, Spain was defaced with a symbol of the Deathly Hallows along with the word ‘Always’.
On the left you will also spot the mark of Cain from Supernatural.
As a Potter fan I am horrified at this piece of graffiti because:
a) It’s obviously never a good thing to vandalise, not to mention the damage they’ve inflicted on this thumb that's been on these grounds since before they were born!
b) I still don’t understand this trend of writing ‘Always’ alongside the Deathly Hallows symbol. Do these fans not remember that the sign is a symbol of the Elder Wand, Cloak of Invisibility and Resurrection Stone you need to conquer death in the wizarding world? What the heck does that have to do with Snape’s eternal love for Lily? Both iconic Potter references yes, but both so unrelated. Pls halp.
and c) They drew a typed out love heart: <3. They couldn’t just DRAW a love heart?
Spanish authorities are now undergoing an investigation, with those found facing a fine of up to €150,000 ($235,000).
