Girl Finds Snake In Her Gryffindor School Bag, Doesn't Understand How It Slythered In

So many Harry Potter puns...

Girl Finds Snake In Her Gryffindor School Bag, Doesn't Understand How It Slythered In Warner Bros.

In the most magical, yet scary, Harry Potter-themed coincidence in Australian history, a young school girl has accidentally brought the two most famous Hogwarts houses together in Queensland.

Snake catcher Lara Field was called out to Augusta State School in Ipswich, Queensland after a girl found a red-bellied black snake in her bag during morning tea.

Ironically, the back pack had Gryffindor symbols all over it... clearly, someone in Slytherin wasn't a fan of her allegiance to the most famous Hogwarts house.

Lana told The Brisbane Times the snake had most likely snuck into her bag after hunting a few lizards near the school.

"The red bellies eat lizards and frogs and so I wouldn’t be surprised if there are probably lizards around the area where the kids keep their bags and the gardens nearby.

"The red bellies really like to hide in dark places so that bag, the inside lining was black and dark so that is where they feel most protected."

Lana took the snake and released it a while away from the school, it is unknown if she decided to use Parsltounge or not, our bet is that there's someone at that school who does know how to, though...
