Let’s face it, we ALL lose socks and have zero idea where the hell they end up.
But we may finally have the location of their whereabouts, and no it ain’t in the Bermuda.
It turns out there is a secret compartment in the bottom of our dryers that could be consuming our socks like the hungry machine it really is…
Property Manager Cathy Hinz took to Bored Panda to share an image of her washing dryer after her husband took it apart, revealing that a whole load of socks had been eaten and hidden by it.
The machine had also eaten credit cards and other knick knacks that were hidden in clothing pockets!
Cathy wrote, "To his shock, this is what he found. Socks, underwear, a credit card... and that is just what was in the bottom of the machine.
"When he removed the water pump that removes the water from the machine, he found about $7.00 (£5) in change.
"Now, for those of you that SWEAR, your machine eats your small things, and have been told by 'professionals' and others that this fable just is not true... Here is the proof!
"I don't know what to say! 25 years he has been doing this job, and for 25 years he has been working on appliances, including washers and dryers. But NEVER have we seen this!
"So next time you are missing socks, just remember! That washing machine might just be hungry!”
Missing some socks? Why not look in your dryer?
