In absolutely fantastic news, Australia has been named one of the top five healthiest countries in the world because, well, we somehow eat well and exercise more than everyone else!
Each country in the index was rated based on a variety of variables including life expectancy, causes of death and health risks including high blood pressure.
Australia came in at number five in the index, which is pretty damn good considering how many other countries were included!
We received a health score of 93.88, which is only a few points behind the country that took out the fourth spot, Singapore.
Switzerland came in third place and Iceland came in second, only just slipping behind the healthiest country in the world, Italy.
Bloomberg states that Italy took out the top spot because of their lean diet of fresh produce, lean meat and fish and the fact that they are "in excess of doctors", meaning that there are just too many doctors around for people to get sick!
We may not have as many doctors hanging around here in Australia, but because we're so damn health conscious these days, we still made the top five and how exciting is that!
