Chocolate is arguably the most hard-to-resist food on the face of the planet already... how are we supposed to stand a chance when the stuff of pure indulgence is PINK?!
Chocolate, am I right? How good is it?
Dark, white, milk... caramel-filled, nougat, mint... even the stuff with damn fruit inside, it's all great.
Well, my dear fellow choco-lovers, have I got news for you! Swiss chocolate company Barry Callebaut has invented what they call Ruby chocolate, and yes, it's pink.
80 years since the invention of white chocolate, Barry Cellebaut has decided to shake up the chocolate world.
Ruby chocolate comes from the Ruby cocoa bean and is said to have an "intense taste" similar to berry fruitiness, according to BC's website.
While according to Chocolate Expert Angus Kennedy, who spoke to The Sun, the flavour is, "refreshing and has a light, creamy texture.
"It tastes so light and fruity you don’t really realise you’re gobbling up one chocolate the other, so it means consumers will be able to eat more of it than other types of conventional chocolate."
Unfortunately, we're unsure as to when we'll be able to get our hands on Ruby chocolate. But, we do know one thing... when it is released, we'll be ordering in bulk!
