Eating More Eggs For Breakfast May Be The Key To Weight Loss!

We've just started a brand new year and you've probably got a bunch of New Year's Resolutions that you're ready to tackle head on.

If one of those resolutions involves losing a few kilos, then you should have a look at this!

A new report from CSIRO has confirmed that eating more protein for breakfast can do wonders for you health and help you lose weight!

The Protein Balance: New concepts for protein in weight management report explains that a minimum of 25g of protein in the morning will help Australians beat mid-morning cravings.

Senior principal research scientist for CSIRO, Professor Manny Noakes says in the report that “the average Australian eats much lower amounts of protein at breakfast, so increasing breakfast protein may help to control eating later in the day."

“If you find it difficult to control what you eat, a redistribution of protein towards breakfast may be the answer to reducing your waistline without leaving you ravenously hungry and craving unhealthy foods."

According to the report, most Australians eat protein at dinner with small amounts also being consumed at lunch, but not many of us seem to be eating a lot of it at breakfast.

Professor Noakes says that Aussies are getting most of their nutrients and protein from processed foods which definitely isn't good, but if you want to incorporate protein into your diet, choose the protein that suits you best!

Not everyone is the same and if one person may like some tasty poached eggs in the morning, someone else might prefer a smooth avocado.

“With a variety of genetic, lifestyle and personality factors at play, there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all approach to weight loss, but there is a range of healthy ways to lose weight."

What do you like to have for breakfast?
