The Day of the Dead is almost upon us and what better way to celebrate than to knock back a couple of tequila-based bevvies? 

The Day of the Dead is a traditional Mexican holiday which falls on the 2nd of November, where family and friends gather together to honour their dearly departed, and Jose Cuervo wants to help you celebrate this year! 

We all know that the best and biggest parties include some cheeky alcoholic drinks, and the renowned tequila company wants to help you celebrate in true Mexican style with some modern twists on traditional tequila-based cocktails. 

The Jose Jalapeño Popper Margarita

What you'll need:

  • 60ml Jose Cuervo Tradicional Silver

  • 30ml Triple Sec

  • 30ml Fresh Lime Juice

  • 2 Jalapeño slices

  • Extra Jalapeño slices, to garnish

What you'll have to do: 

Add spirits, lime juice, and 2 jalapeño slices to a shaker with ice and shake well.

Strain onto fresh ice in a rocks glass.

Garnish with jalapeño slices.

The Bloody Margarita

What you'll need: 

  • 60ml Jose Cuervo Tradicional Reposado
  • 90ml Tomato Juice
  • 3 dashes of Hot Sauce
  • 15ml Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 dash Worcester Sauce
  • ½ tbsp Celery Salt

What you'll have to do: 

Combine all ingredients over ice in a highball glass.

Stir down.

Garnish with celery.

The Classic Frojose

What you'll need:

  • 60ml Jose Cuervo Especial Reposado
  • 180ml Jose Cuervo Margarita Mix
  • Lime for garnish
  • Salt for rim

What you'll have to do: 

Rub the rim of the glass with lime and then dip in to salt.

Add Jose Cuervo Especial Reposado and Margarita Mix to a blender and blend well.

Pour into glass and garnish with lime.

The Strawberry Frojose

What you'll need: 

  • 60ml Jose Cuervo Especial Reposado
  • 180ml Jose Cuervo Margarita Mix
  • 5 Strawberries
  • Strawberry for garnish

What you'll have to do: 

Add Jose Cuervo Especial Reposado, strawberries and Margarita Mix to a blender and blend well.

Pour into glass and garnish with strawberry.

Now, we don't know about you guys, but we'll be drinking these on the Day of the Dead and every other day of the summer season!
