Did your favourite make it?

It's that time of year again where we acknowledge the very best in Australian television with the TV Week Logie Awards! There's a spectacular line-up of talent for 2017 over a range of categories. Since we are celebrating all things Aussie, it was a MUST to break up our nominees into their home state. Want to know if your favourite actor or personality is from the same place as you? Check out the list below!

Silver: Best Presenter & Gold Logie: Best Personality on Australian Television

Waleed Aly
The Project

Victorian-born Waleed Aly won the Gold Logie for Best Personality in 2016 and he's up for it again! If you tune into The Project on Network Ten on weeknights, you'd see Waleed co-host alongside Carrie Bickmore and Peter Helliar. Could he win it two years in a row?

Gold Logie: Best Personality on Australian Television

Peter Helliar
The Project

Aussie comedian Peter Helliar is FINALLY up for the Gold Logie - he's been extremely vocal about it on The Project, where he co-hosts with Gold Logie winners Carrie Bickmore and Waleed Aly. Could this be Peter's chance to get the coveted award? For his sake, let's hope so.

Silver: Most Outstanding Actor

Rodger Corser
Doctor Doctor

He's the star of the Channel 9 show Doctor Doctor, playing the role of handsome heart surgeon Hugh Knight. So, basically, he's the Aussie version of McDreamy. He's forced to return to work as a GP for a year because he was put on probation after he partied a bit too hard - taking a bad turn. He may very well be the winner of the Logie for Most Outstanding Actor!

Samuel Johnson

Although he has retired from acting, Samuel Johnson is nominated for playing iconic Aussie music legend, Molly Meldrum in the two-part mini series. The resemblance between Samuel and Molly in this show is uncanny. There's no doubt this he's in for a solid chance!

Silver: Most Outstanding Actress

Anna Torv
Secret City

Anna stars as Harriet Dunkley, a Canberra press gallery journalist who forces her way to uncover the truth. She uncovers a secret city while unlocking conspiracies that could endanger the freedom of every Australian, her life and her career. This Foxtel thriller might just fast-track Anna to a Logie!

Elizabeth Debicki
The Kettering Incident

Elizabeth plays Dr. Anna Macy who finds herself linked to the disappearance of two girls, 15 years apart. It's either she's responsible or they were abducted by aliens. If you're into sci-fi and thrillers, this show is for you. Let's hope it's enough for a Logie!

Silver: Most Outstanding Supporting Actor

Ryan Johnson
Doctor Doctor

He plays Hugh's brother Matt and is married to his former-girlfriend (talk about awkward family dinners!). Doctor Doctor will be doing well if both Ryan and Rodger win Logies!

Debra Lawrance
Please Like Me

She had a prominent role in Australian comedian Josh Thomas' show Please Like Me, where she played Josh's mother Rose who has previously attempted suicide. Her performance was an absolute heart-breaker for fans, which might explain her nominated for Most Outstanding Supporting Actor. Fingers crossed!
