Three men have now been charged

Child Abuse Squad detectives have already charged two men as a result of ongoing investigations stemming from the Royal Commission into Institutional Child Sexual Offences, which identified historic persistent child sex offences occurring at the Wandering Mission and other locations within Western Australia. Child Abuse Squad detectives have now charged another man who's believed to be involved in the indecent. 

It is alleged between 1959 and 2003 the man sexually abused five girls who were aged between nine and 13 years at the time of the first offence. The man was employed as a teacher at the Mission when the first offences occurred.

The man who is now 83 years old from Bibra Lake has been charged with:
• Five counts of Indecently Dealing with a Girl under 17 years by a Teacher;
• Three counts of Unlawful Indecent Dealing with a Girl under 13 years;
• Two counts of Sexual Assault;
• One count of Carnal Knowledge of a Girl under 17 years by a Teacher;
• One count of attempted Carnal knowledge of a Girl under 13 years;
• One count of Rape and
• One count of Indecently Dealt with a Child under 13 years.

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 31 May 2017.
