On average, one woman a week is murdered by her current or former partner. That one woman could be your Mother, Sister, Friend, Work Colleague or Neighbour. When you really think about the growing issue of men's violence against women it's scary to believe that 1 in 2 women has experienced sexual harassment during her lifetime. 

We as a community can take a stand on this issue and make CHANGE! 

If you want to Get your community together to show the world where you stand on ending men's violence against women in Australia attend a White Ribbon Event in your area. 

Goldfields 

A Silent March will be held in Kalgoorlie on Friday 23rd November, beginning at Federal Square (top of Hannans Street) finishing at St Barbara’s Square.

The March will begin at 10:00am, with Welcome to Country and and a free sausage sizzle at St Barbara’s Square at 10:30am.

Community Groups will be available to share information and provide support, and speakers will share stories to raise awareness of the lived experience of domestic violence.

All welcome.

Great Southern 

White Ribbon Day Silent march to raise awareness of men’s violence against women and unveiling of Purple Bench, to honour all domestic homicide victims in WA.
23rd Nov in Katanning, march starts at 3:30.

Venue: Town Square Katanning, Clive Street, Katanning, Western Australia, 6317

Southwest 

Community march through city CBD with participants encouraged to wear white and gather in support of a whole of community approach to creating awareness of the positive role that men can play in stopping violence against women.

Commemorative service including taking of the oath, wreath laying, guest speakers and entertainment.

Time: 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Venue: ANZAC Park - Bunbury, Victoria Street, Bunbury, Western Australia, 6230
Stand up, speak out and act to stop domestic violence and abuse.
