A teenager has been charged after allegedly making online threats towards a Central Coast high school yesterday.

Police have been told about 12.35pm (Wednesday 28 June 2017), a youth posted a photo on a social media application threatening to commit criminal activity at a Central Coast high school.

Officers from Brisbane Water Local Area Command were alerted to the photo and began investigations.

Following inquiries, just before 8pm (Wednesday 28 June 2017), a 15-year-old boy was arrested at a home on Woy Woy Road, Woy Woy, and taken to Gosford Police Station.

He has been charged with the use carriage service to menace/harass/offence.

The boy was granted conditional bail and will appear at a Children’s Court on Friday 7 July 2017.
