Great news Esperance! You no longer need to use your phone data to upload all of your awesome photos to Instagram!

The Shire of Esperance have announced the installation of a free, high speed WiFi network for the Esperance community as part of a two-year trial via the National Broadband Network.

People in the town centre can gain access the free WiFi connection along the foreshore between the Whale Tail and the Skate Park, along James and Andrew Streets between the Esplanade and Dempster Street.

The shire have worked with Goldfields Esperance Development Commission and the Esperance Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the lead up and planning of this project, with funding from Royalties for Regions as part of the Supertowns program.

Those who connect will have access to a two-hour session and site restrictions and download limits will apply.

Shire President Victoria Brown said it was a fantastic way to encourage people to spend more time in the Esperance town centre.
