If you have been walking around the Kalgoorlie CBD recently, you might have noticed a colourful change.
The repainting and re-purposing of public bins on Hannan Street is one of the first steps towards the towns new transformation.
A number of deteriorating street bins have been repainted and re-purposed into pot plants; boring tiles have been replaced with brightly coloured pavement and even new street art has emerged.
Kalgoorlie residents are being encouraged to have their say about how more than $30 million should be spent in revitalizing the city’s busiest areas.
