Massive Oil Slick Left In Albany Beach After Whale Carcass Is Removed City of Albany

The City of Albany has removed a 23 metre whale carcass after it washed up on its beach on Thursday.

The beach was closed as authorities feared the rotting remains and oil would attract sharks, with several already spotted in the waters since.

It took a total of six trucks to remove the carcass, with the remains being taken to landfill.
