A Kalgoorlie man who has already spent time behind bars for trying to manufacture methamphetamine has been jailed again for two years after he was caught with 13.8 grams of the drug.

Tremaine Desmond Reid, 33, appeared in the Kalgoorlie District Court yesterday and pleaded guilty to being in possession of meth with the intent to supply.

Back in September, police pulled over a car travelling on Johnston Street in Boulder in the middle of the day where they conducted a search and found meth with a purity of 73 per cent in a clip-seal bag stuffed into Reid’s underwear. Reid had only been out of prison for six months at the time and had previously been jailed for 18 months in 2013 for trying to manufacture meth.

Reid’s sentence was backdated to April 19, when he was taken into custody, and he will be eligible for parole after 12 months.
