Drone Photography on the Rise

Students receive tips

Students at Eastern Goldfields College were asked what areas of photography they were interested in and drone photography was high on their list.

To provide the students with a hands-on look behind what was involved in drone photography, Eastern Goldfields College, with the help of local photography business Wild Light Imagery and photographer Savannah Morrison; who has developed a passion and expertise in drone imagery, created a series of photography classes to ensuring that the next generation of photographers understood the ever-changing capabilities of drone equipment and were also made aware of the safety risks and requirements.

With drone technology being one of the fastest-growing industries, not only with the photography, but also just in workplaces, it was important for students to learn the rules surrounding drones and how to be safe.

The Year 11 and 12 students from Eastern Goldfields College had a lot of fun being able to gain different perspectives and different viewpoints of everyday locations and get a hands-on experience with equipment they may not get access to otherwise.
