Locals in Julago, Nome and Alligator Creek will need to have a bath and get the washing done early tonight.
Water will again be switched off to residents in those areas from 9pm, with works expected to take up to 10 hours.
Townsville City Council crews are tonight head back to do further repairs to a leaking water main at Stuart, which started on Monday.
Crews spent several hours working to repair it on Tuesday night, but the damaged pipe is directly under a section of rail line in Southwood Road.
They’ve had to work with Queensland Rail to schedule works at a time which has least impact on residents.
Crews will replace the leaking 600mm fiberglass pipeline with a Ductile Iron pipe.
