The Gladys Street home quickly became a ball of fire, and was filling the sky with thick smoke around 1pm on Monday.

Police are now asking for public assistance to track down the two boys aged between 9-13 years.

Authorities say the fire jumped from grass the boys had set fire to, to a palm tree and then onto the home.
