Townsville Is Now Home To Australia's Hottest Vegan

Townsville is home to champion WNBL and NRL teams, Castle Hill, the iconic Hotel Grand Chancellor building and now- Australia's hottest vegan!

Local Vet Nurse Kaz Quinn, got the phone call this week to announce she'd be given the title from the PETA team.

When Kaz isn't taking care of animal companions at the veterinary surgery at Greencross Vets, she enjoys talking about vegan living and sponsoring animals at farm sanctuaries to help save lives of all species.

Despite her shy nature, she always speaks up for animals – and speaks out against abuse. She describes her tattoos as conversation starters that enable her to explain why she loves cows, pigs, and chickens and why everyone should keep them off their plates.

"There's nothing more attractive than someone who is committed to helping animals and the environment, and it doesn't hurt that vegans are, on average, healthier and more energetic than their meat-eating peers," says PETA spokesperson Emily Rice.

"Each one of the finalists in PETA's contest is a living example of the strength and vitality that can come from vegan eating."
