Today we can expect up to 22 Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) F/A-18A/B Hornet and F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft to land at RAAF Base Townsville for refuelling on transit to Darwin.
The aircraft are expected to begin arriving, and departing from 9 am through to 2.30 pm throughout the day.
The Exercise Diamond Storm in Darwin goes for four weeks and all aircraft are expected to return via Townsville at the end of June.
So if you miss them today, you'll get another chance in a few weeks!
Air Force is committed to ensuring every effort is made to minimise any inconvenience and appreciate the ongoing support of Townsville residents.
