A rock climber's recovering with some broken ribs after slipping 10 metres on Mount Stuart.
Firies had to be winched down the eastern face from a Rescue Chopper on Sunday afternoon.
The man in his 30s was climbing with friends around 2pm when he took a tumble.
The delicate mission took around four hours all up.
The climber was airlifted to the Townsville Hospital in a stable condition where he continues his recovery.
