PLASTIC BATTLE | JCU Townsville Are Phasing Out The Use Of Plastic Straws

"BE GONE!"

PLASTIC BATTLE | JCU Townsville Are Phasing Out The Use Of Plastic Straws

Single use plastic bags are now just a thing you might have in your pantry for a little while longer, because as of July 1 they have been banned from retailers.

Now our Townsville Uni is joining the war on plastic by culling plastic straws.

JCU will take steps to ban plastic straws from not only it's Townsville campus but Cairns too, in the near future.

The goal at the moment is to have the plastic straws phased out of eateries and events at the campuses by September 2018.

Is this a good idea? Tell us on Facey!
