People Will Be Swimming For 12 Hours This Sunday For MS

Janelle Poole, Julie Cooke, Joan Millett, Natalie Flanders, Tanya Bell, Michelle Harris, Cherie Banks, and Bernadette Radford

The Kokoda Memorial Pool will host the last MS Swimathon event of the season to raise vital funds to help people living with multiple sclerosis (MS).

It doesn't matter if you can do 100 fast laps or doggy paddle one, everyone can join in, have fun and support people living with MS - an incurable disease which affects a person's central nervous system.

Designed as a relay event, teams must have one swimmer in the water at all times throughout the entire 12 hour event period.

Even our local cops will be getting into the comp, the team of 17 will be lapping through the water of Kokoda Memorial Pool.

Participants can raise donations by asking for a one off donation from friends and family or being sponsored based on the number of laps they can do.

It all happens this Sunday so get along and cheer on these legends!
