The Dob in a Druggie campaign will run for the entirety of February and has been launched with the aim of encouraging and supporting members of the Townsville community to contact Crime Stoppers if they believe they can provide any information in relation to the possession, production or supply of illicit drugs in the Townsville area.

Officer in Charge of the Major and Organised Crime Squad for the Northern Region, Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Brad Phelps said the Dob in a Druggie initiative targets persons involved in illicit drug activity occurring in Townsville.
“In particular, we are interested in any information which may assist the police in our investigations,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Phelps said.
“We are specifically targeting persons supplying and trafficking in dangerous drugs. It’s all about reduction of supply and reducing the harm and impacts (of illicit drugs) on the community.
