We aren't the only ones to feel the winter chill, the animals at the Townsville RSPCA shelter are feelin' it too.
But there's a way you can help them today.
You can 1. Adopt or 2. Donate
No animal should have to spend winter nights at the shelter, why not give them a spot on your couch for a cuddle?
If you're able to adopt, take a look at our RSPCA Pets of the Week.
Ronald (1yo male Staffy X Shar Pei):
I've got the smallest, cutest tail with the biggest, happiest wag. My tail pretty much sums up my philosophy of life. Love. Play. Fun. Walk. Relax - and we can do them in any order. I'm an energetic dog who would flourish with an active lifestyle. My cheerfulness and excitement are contagious. I'm looking for a home with older children where I'd get games and exercise, love and a bit of guidance fine-tuning my manners. If you'd appreciate a boy who's a little bit different in the best possible way, come and see me.
Moon Beam (1yr 6mnth Torti female DSH):
Hi, I'm Moon Beam. I'm a sweet kitty with wisdom beyond my years. I'm very respectful and quiet, and love a good cuddle on the couch. If you've got a windowsill I will claim it as my own and watch the world go by. Come in and see me today!
Tooth Fairy (7mnth black female DSH):
Heya, I'm Tooth Fairy! I'm a sugary sweet little lady looking for my forever home. I'm quiet, respectful and love everyone I meet. Loud noises sometimes frighten me but I'm working on my confidence. Do you think I could be the kitty for you?
If you're not able to adopt, you can still warm their furry legs up with a donation. At the moment the Townsville RSPCA shelter are asking for donations of blankets, towels, sheets- anything that they can cosy up with during winter.
Donations can be made between 10am-5pm 7 days a week at the shelter on Tompkins Road.
