Easier access to financial help

New Legislation For Struggling North East Dairy Farmers

New legislation has been rolled out in Canberra today, making it easier for struggling Border North East Dairyfarmers to access the Farm Household Allowance.

It follows yesterday's revelations a report to be put together in the wake of a December meeting in Tangambalanga with Nationals Senator Bridget McKenzie and struggling dairyfarmers, had yet to see the light of day.

The meeting prompted as many locals struggle to deal with paperwork backlogs, delaying financial help from Centrelink.

The report has since been handed to Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce, after questioning by Indi MP Cathy McGowan.
