A factory worker in western Sydney has been rushed to hospital after a steel beam fell on him this afternoon.
The man, 36, was pinned by the legs under a beam weighing several tonnes for 15 minutes.
He was freed by fellow workers, with Fire & Rescue NSW attending the scene in Auburn and providing further assistance.
The CareFlight chopper was tasked after 2.40pm and landed in the industrial site 50 metres away.
The specialist doctor and critical care paramedics treated the man for serious injuries to the lower limbs.
More to come.
