Western Sydney is finally getting the venue of its dreams!
Today the $100 million plans will be unveiled for the new Western Sydney Performing Arts Centre!
It is set to be completed by 2019 and it will be located in Rooty Hill!
The new venue will seat 2000 people and will host everything from musical concerts to ballet, comedy shows to musicals and symphony orchestras.
Western Sydney Performing Arts Centre chief executive Richard Errington said, “A project of this size has never been undertaken before on this side of the bridge… The time has come for Western Sydney to have its own cultural icon. We have brought together a team of leading architects, designers and engineers … we can’t wait to share it with the community.”
Adding that the centre will help create jobs across the construction, hospitality and entertainment industries in Western Sydney.
The centre will be located across the road from the Rooty Hill RSL!
