Two Left Injured After Men Armed With Knives Broke Into A Western Sydney Home

A home invasion in Sydney's West occurred over the weekend, leaving one man in hospital and another injured.

Police were called to the McNaughton Street Jamisontown unit at around 1am on Sunday.

The two victims, believed to be in their 30s, were attacked after two males broke in the unit armed with knives.

They threatened the residents before assaulting them, they then fled the scene also stealing their car. 

A police spokesperson has released a statement on the incident saying, "The unknown males, believed to be armed with knives, threatened both men, before assaulting them, both occupants of the home ran from the house and contacted police.

"The pair were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for lacerations to their face and head, with one of the men being taken to Nepean Hospital.

"Police have been told the unknown males took a set of keys before stealing a blue Citroen C3, with registration plates AOW 24U."
