It's no secret that if you’ve been in the city in the last couple of months/ years, you would be well aware of this whole construction thing going down in the CBD on George St.
It has been very frustrating for locals and tourists, with most of the strip being ripped up which has also damaged small businesses around the area.
Today, the NSW Government has finally announced that they have reached an end date for the $2.1 billion construction plan … even though they missed the first two proposed deadlines already.
The new light rail will be ready by the end of October.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian revealed today that even though they are already long past the deadlines, 500m of the Circular Quay to Randwick tram-line is now being laid every week and the George St area is set to be fully operating before the Christmas shopping period.
