Sydney's Experiencing Its Longest Spring Dry Spell In 29 Years

Despite predictions that Sydney would be drenched with rain this week, it's seeming more likely that we'll only be treated to several light drizzles.

This comes as Sydney experiences its longest spring dry spell in 29 years, with little reprieve from a low pressure trough over eastern NSW this morning.

Parramatta recorded 1.0mm on the rain gauage from 9am yesterday, but most suburbs missed out on the light rain.

According to Nine News, just 0.2mm has been recorded at Observatory Hill in the last six weeks.
