You may have noticed that at around 3pm, a Sydney's nice bright sky became engulfed by dark, ominous clouds and transformed a sunny afternoon into an almost midnight sky.
Now, at 4pm, the rain has begun and Weatherzone meteorologist Kim Westcott, said the rain could be heavy in some parts of the Sydney Basin and is likely to continue throughout the evening.
Thunderstoms were reported out in the Blue Mountains earlier this afternoon, but were expected to clear before they hit the city.
However, it looks like we could still get a thunderstorm with 10mm of rain coming our way.
Brace yourselves, Sydney.
