Seven-Year-Old Honorary Officer Helps Police Catch Bad Guys Who Stole From The Easter Bunny 9 News

The NSW Police Force has made seven-year-old Finn an honorary officer today, requiring his assistance to help locate and arrest 'bad guys' who stole eggs from the Easter Bunny.

Finn has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) which is a degenerative, terminal illness which affects young boys.

It is likely that most diagnosed with DMD end up in a wheelchair by their early teens, and have a life expectancy in the mid-20s.

However, today it was all about living his dream of becoming a dirt bike police officer.

His mission involved a chopper ride with PolAir, a boat trip with Marine Area Command, as well as involvement from the Dog Unit, Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, State Crime Command and several local area commands.

Finn oversaw an arrest, with two men in custody for stealing the eggs.
