Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after two Highway Patrol officers were injured at a Random Breath Test site in Sydney’s south west last week.
Two male Senior Constables sustained severe leg injuries at on Friday while setting up a roadside RBT site on Campbelltown Road at Leumeah, when they were struck by a vehicle at about 8:20pm.
The driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old man, has been charged and appeared at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
Police say a critical incident team will investigate all circumstances surrounding the incident, with the investigation subject to independent review.
