A mummified body has been found in a deceased hoarder's home, which police claim may have been in the house for more than a decade.
Detectives are yet to determine whether Bruce Roberts, the hoarder who resided in the home before his death in July 2016, had any involvement in the other person's death.
It wasn't until last Tuesday that the grim discovery was made, with forensic cleaners uncovering the mummified body rolled up in a carpet in the North Shore home.
It is understood that the body was at such a bad point of decomposition, a post-mortem was required to determine the age and gender of the person.
Police revealed on Friday that the body was of a man in his 30s or 40s.
The cause of his death remains unclear, with acting Superintendent Simon Jones treating the death as "unnatural" and "suspicious".
