Sydney it could be another wet commute home, with a stormy afternoon and evening on the cards.
Forecasters say a low pressure trough will move through today and could possibly be severe, with the potential for heavy rain, damaging winds and even hail.
"The storm could contain several severe elements, not only could it contain heavy rain, we could also see damaging wind gusts, as well as large hail" Kim Westcott from Weatherzone said.
While we're being told we could also see a soggy Saturday, with wet weather to continue over the weekend.
"For Sydney not only today is the risk of thunderstorms, but also on Saturday we could see showers and storms develop again in the afternoon and evening, with the potential for heavy falls as well, so falls of up to 30 millimetres are possible tomorrow" Westcott said.
The advice is to be safe and never ride or drive through floodwaters.
