A man from Sydney's north shore has been charged with grooming a teenage girl for sex after police officers posed as a 14-year-old girl online.
Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad's Child Exploitation Internet Unit arrested a 48-year-old man in a North Parramatta car park on Monday.
Police say the Waitara man, who believed he was speaking with a 14-year-old girl, had sexually explicit conversations and broadcast explicit live video recordings with officers from Strikeforce Trawler from April.
The man, who has been refused bail, allegedly had made arrangements for sex.
Officers raided his home following the arrest and seized computers and electronic storage devices.
He will appear in Parramatta Local Court in July.
