A man had been charged after climbing the Harbour Bridge last week without authorisation.
The incident happened at roughly 4.20am on Wednesday last week, with the man climbing the south-western arch of the structure.
A police operation ensued, which lasted nearly six hours.
Sydney City Police Area Command Officers started an investigation after the incident.
The 43-year-old man was arrested today at 10am at Day Street Police station.
He has been charged with assault police, trespass, wilfully prevent free passage of person/vehicle, and climb on any part of a bridge.
He has been refused bail and will appear before Central Local Court today.
