For kids… and well, the kids at heart, LIKE US, Easter egg hunting can be one of the best activities of the long weekend!

The best part is that it doesn’t have to be restricted to your backyard!

Here are some of the best events in Sydney to check out this long weekend... So get your hunt on. 

The Grounds Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt


The Grounds and Cadbury will be hiding 15,000 Cadbury Easter Eggs throughout the garden and laneways for kids to discover.

Three lucky kids who find the coveted Golden Eggs will take home an egg-citing prize!

Westfield Miranda Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Egg Treasure Hunt

Calling all bunny rabbits!

Make your own basket, then hunt for Easter eggs in the Children’s Area at the Parramatta Library! 

Kids must be between 8 to 10 years of age.


When: Thursday, 29 March 2018 from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm (AEDT)

The Great Garden Egg Hunt

The Easter Bunny is coming to the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney on Saturday and Sunday of the Easter long weekend! Children use a trail map to complete fun challenges, collect chocolate eggs and hunt for their furry Easter friend.

Following the trail, children will move around the beautiful gardens between five activities which are egg or bunny related such as an egg and spoon race and an egg hunt. There will also be a family photo opportunity at the end with the Easter Bunny!

Please note, The Royal Botanic Garden cannot hide chocolate eggs in the Garden for hygiene and safety reasons. Instead chocolate eggs will be given as prizes on completion of each activity. Children will receive 4 small chocolate eggs and then a large chocolate prize on completion of the trail.

Easter Family Fun Day 2018

All ages will be delighted with our Giant Easter Egg Hunt, Face Painting, Animal Farm and Interactive Games, Entertainment, Showbags and Food! Your unlimited rides pass is valid for most rides (some age and height restrictions may apply). There are some rides that are paid per ride at an extra cost.

Entry is free and includes free Facepainting, use of the 'Build Zone', the Animal Farm and Youth Zone. All food, drink and showbag sales go to support WestCare and our work with vulnerable people around the world.

Treat Dreams Easter Egg Hunt- VEGAN

Dust off your running shoes and bunny ears, and join Treat Dreams for a fun family day.

All ages welcome, including bigger kids and adults!

Search for classic and limited edition Dream Eggs, solid mini eggs, one off chocolate creations and a bunch of non-food prizes.

They will have everything from the egg hunt, to games and craft, to their prize presentations and a sausage sizzle… don’t worry the whole day is vegan.
