Sydney’s very first carnaval of its kind is happening this month… filled with live music, food stalls and even activities for the kids.
The Portuguese-Brazilian festival, officially called the Canguru na Folia will unite the two portuguese-speaking countries to celebrate their history, language, culture and food.
Attendees will get to enjoy live music and performances, delicious food and beverages from both countries as well as costume competitions and other activities for the kids.
When: Carnival Party (live music, DJs, food stalls and bar) on Saturday 25 February, 6pm AND Family Fun Day (kids activities, food stalls and live performances on Sunday 26 February, 11am.
Where: Sydney Portugal Community Club, 100 Marrickville Road, Marrickville
Entry: $5 early bird until 11 February, $7 online and at the door
