In breaking news, Hannah Quinn has been granted bail following the death of Sydney rapper Jett "Scepaz" McKee on Friday.

Ms Quinn, 23, and her boyfriend Blake Davis, 28, have been charged with murder after Mr Davis allegedly swung a samurai sword down on Mr McKee's skull, killing him.

It is alleged that Ms Quinn chased after Mr McKee and tackled him to the ground after Mr McKee tried to force his way into the home of Ms Quinn and Mr Davis.

Mr Davis is alleged to have grabbed a samurai sword and struck Mr McKee on the head.

The incident happened in Forest Lodge, with Mr McKee dying in the street.

Ms Quinn appeared before Newtown Local Court today and her bail application was granted.

She has also been charged with a second offence of accessory after the fact.
