Dog-Walker Charged After Leaving Pet In Hot Car And Going On A Cruise

A woman has been charged after allegedly leaving a dog in a hot car for six hours, resulting in its death.

This came after Lilly Miljkovic found her pet Keeshond Beau trapped in a parked car on Rose Bay's Old South Head Road last month, following a text from her dog walker saying "Sorry I think I've left your dog in the car".

Ms Miljkovic and a passerby smashed the car window in, which advertised the dog-walking business.

The walker had realised that she had left the dog in the car before departing on a week-long cruise.

The 46-year-old Vaucluse woman has been issued a Court Attendance Notice for committing an act of animal cruelty and failing to exercise care to prevent cruelty.
