Cyclist Killed In Crash In Sydney CBD

A man in his 20s has died after being hit by a car this morning in the Sydney CBD.

Just before 7am, with emergency services called to attend the scene following reports a two-car crash on the corner of Moore Park Road and Queens Street in the Centennial Park area.

Barely 30 minutes later, the cyclist in his late 20s was rushed to St Vincent's Hospital after being hit by a car just a few metres from the earlier accident.

He died at the hospital due to his injuries.

There have been substantial delays around the Woollhara area, with Moore Park Road westbound lanes closed after the smash.

Traffic has been diverted through Lang Road, with delays reaching back to Syd Einfeld Drive.
