In an attempt to bring the late-night economy back after the controversial lock-out laws in Sydney, Lord Mayor Clover Moore has announced plans to change the rigidity of 'late-night shopping'.
In fact, under proposed plans, late-night shopping may soon be a 7-day occurence, with retailers in the CBD and certain suburbs to open from 7am - 10pm daily.
This would then have flow-on effects, with 7 News reporting access to after-hours grocery stores, pharmacies, hairdressers and dry-cleaners.
"We don't want everything to shut down when the sun goes down," Ms Moore said.
Any new residential buildings constructed in these popular areas would have to be built with this in mind, in order to reduce noise.
