A Record Number Of People Attended Vivid This Year

Sydney's Vivid light festival has attracted a record crowd this year, with the official attendance figures showing that 2.33 million people flocked to the spectacle.

The winter show, which ran from May to June, raked in $143 million for the NSW economy, with over 65,000 international travel packages sold to the festival.

It was the ninth year that Sydney has put on the event, with the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and CBD buildings used as a blank canvas for the light show.

It was announced this week that the festival will be back for it's tenth appearance from May 25 to June 16 next year.
