A NSW Mother Has Been Involved In A Wild Police Chase With Her Three-Year-Old Son In The Back Seat

A 23-year-old mum has been charged after allegedly reaching speeds up to 150km/h with her three-year-old son in the back seat during a police pursuit in Sydney's southwest.

The woman allegedly drove through two sets of red lights in Cabramatta on Thursday night and led police on an eight-minute chase, reaching speeds up to 150km/h as well as driving on the wrong side of the road before police stopped her several suburbs away.

A child was in the back seat, as well as a 23-year-old male passenger, police said.

The woman was remanded in custody and is due to face Bankstown Local Court on Friday facing a string of charges, while the child has been placed in the care of relatives.
