Cuckoo Callay's annual Bacon Festival has returned, and it’s the best we have ever seen it!
Get ready to sink your teeth into some seriously drool-worthy dishes… because our fave festival is back.
For 12 weeks, Cuckoo Callay Newtown and Surry Hills will be serving up an epic menu celebrating all things oozy and free range Australian Pork.
Yes, we are talking, next level Australian bacon, cheesy, saucy dishes.
It kicked off on the 4th of April and will hanging around until the 19th of June.
This year they have teamed up with Shortstop Donuts to create Maple Bacon Long Johns, which will be dipped in a glazing of maple and brown sugar, topped with candied maple-smoked bacon.
Can you hear us screaming?
You better be quick though, because these bad boys are only available from the 9th of April to the 22nd.
They have created some next level goodies for all of us to pig out on, and like we said… this year is the best one yet.
If there’s anything you need to try, we suggest The Piggie Smalls, AKA The Notorious P.I.G… if you’re brave enough, that would be a burger with 3 types of pork with a pork mince pattie, char-grilled chorizo and maple bacon jam, with Mexican flaming cheese, pork crackling and chipotle aioli.
