In breaking news, the five-year-old boy who was stabbed this morning in Carlingford has died.
This incident happened at roughly 7am this morning.
The boy and his grandmother fled the scene for help after a domestic dispute at the household on Moseley Street.
He was taken to Westmead Children's Hospital under police escort, however he has since died.
A man, 36, is known to the boy and has been arrested and taken to Castle Hill Police Station
A second crime scene has been established at a house on Paul Place, and police inquiries are continuing.
The boy had serious stab wounds and was in a critical condition when he was taken to hospital.
A 60-year-old woman was also treated by NSW Ambulance at the scene for shock.
