Local government and support agencies are continuing campaigns for a drug rehabilitation and detoxification facility in Mildura.
Irymple Rotary, the Mildura Rural City Council and the Royal Flying Doctor Service have contributed funds to enable to project to develop.
The Local Drug Action Team have enlisted the help of research company 360 Degree Ege to conduct a professional and evidence based need analysis for the facility, with the findings set to help form a business case to present to State officials.
The findings are expected by April next year, with the Local Drug Action Team set to lobby the State Government for services in accordance with the results.
Chair of the Local Drug Action Team Councillor Simon Clemence says the project is a huge priority.
